Spring Break Week!

It was a fun spring break that went by too fast! Both grandmas flew in and stayed with us at our house. My mom got here on Monday the 6th and Jeff's mom arrived on Wednesdays the 8th. During the week we saw Monsters vs. Aliens, Went to the Chocolate Factory, shopped at the Town Square, visited Bonnie Springs and on the way home went up to the Red Rocks. We went out to eat at everyones favorite restaurant (Olive Garden). The kids died easter eggs with grandma Julie. We also had a little get together at the house. Something we've done for the past 5 years.

Finally Moving next week!

I feel like I've been packing for the last 6 weeks! I hate having boxes all over the place. I packed the girls spring clothes and sandals thinking we wouldn't need them anytime soon. Well, the weather has been warming up. It will be so nice to finally get into the new house! I thought we would of been moved by mid February. Hello...it's about to be mid March. That's the military for you. Well the good thing is we got rid of so much stuff. We sold our 55 gallon fish tank (Jeff and I had since 1998) and Jaelyn's crib (she's getting a toddler bed) on craigslist. We also had a neighborhood yard sale a few weeks ago and I sold all the extra pampered chef stuff I had stored in the garage (brought over mostly from Japan) for dirt cheap. Literally dirt cheap. We made about $400 so it was well worth it. It feels great getting rid of all of it before the move. Now we'll have extra garage space to actually park our cars in.

Enjoying the warmer weather.

Eric and Meilani rode their bikes while Jeff and I rollerbladed to the park in our neighborhood. The kids had fun playing and swinging. Weezy had fun going around the basketball court several times with Jeff.

Jaelyn's favorite thing to do. She can spend hours on the swing!

After the park we all watched movies...even Weezy!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jaelyn!!!

Our baby is 2 already! =(
Jaelyn was born on Friday January 5 @ 7:53am and weighed 6lbs 15oz. She was 21 inches long. She is a joy in our lives. She brings out the best in all of us. She has always been a very happy baby. And for the most part an easy baby. Anyone that meets her says she’s the cutest lil thing. I often her from strangers that she looks like a doll. Today she had her 2 year check up and she weighs 25lbs 8oz and is 32.5 inches tall. Jeff brought her home a little cake and we sang Happy Birthday to her at least 20 times today because she loves singing.
Her brother and sister love her dearly and she loves them back just as much. We love you and Happy Birthday my love!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!
New Year Family Picture

The Girls (Elena, me, Tracy and Maxine)!

The Guys (Jeff, Bryan, Dustin, Bob, Jeff, and Lil E)!

Another fun night with our Vegas friends! We started the night off with yummy food! Elena and Bob's house is perfect for get togethers. They have an enormous house and a beautiful backyard. The kids where mainly upstairs having a blast playing. They also helped bring in the new year by banging pots and blowing their party favors. The adults and Eric hung out downstairs and in the backyard. Jeff brought his laptop and speaker (of coarse) so we could listen to music. We played Catch Phrase, lit a bunch of fireworks threw out the night and hang out with great friends. All in all it was a fun night for all of us! The only sad part for me was thinking that this most likely is the last time we can all hang out like this. Most of us are going to other bases in a few months. That's what being in the military is all about. Meeting great people and then going our separate ways. But I look at it this way...If we would of never moved here then we wouldn't of met them. Same goes for all of our other friends located around the world. We love each and every one of you! We hoped you all had a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Until we meet again...love ya!!!!

The New addition to our Family!

MEET WEEZY!
The day we pick him up from the shelter. Dec 31st.
He had to get neutered that's way he has a cone on.

We all have wanted a dog for a while, especially the kids. We never committed to getting one because we knew how much work they could be. We didn’t want to be one of those people (families) who got a dog tied it out back, never walked them, and didn’t pay any attention to their pets. So the day after Christmas, we were watching Animal Planet and the show that was on was about dogs competing in races and diving to get the best time or distance. We were stuck on the TV in amazement (they were all so cute). After that show came on one about training your dogs. So the kids jump on the computer to search for dogs available in the area. We didn’t want to pay too much for one. To my surprise Jeff was on the computer bright and early (every morning since Friday) watching the dog whisperer on you tube and other training videos. So I knew he wanted one just as much as the kids. On Saturday we took the kids to a few pet stores just so they could see how much they cost (we wanted them to know they weren’t cheap). I then looked online for shelters and since Jeff was off on Tuesday we decided to take the kids to the SPCA and Lied Animal shelter just to look. We went to the SPCA first and there was a few that we liked but not enough for us to take out (the dogs were a little too loud for us). We did ask about one but he had been abused in the past so he most likely wouldn’t have work for out family. So we went to the shelter next and that’s when we saw Weezy. We looked at all the dogs before we went back to him. We took him our of his kennel and play and walked him for about 45 mins. We all fell in love with him so we had to save him! Unfortunately we couldn't take him him that night because he had to have surgery the next morning to get neutered. So we picked him up News Years Eve!

Things we did this Holiday Season!

This month went by way too fast. My mom and grandma drove from Sacramento the Saturday before Christmas. My grandma hasn’t been here since the early 80’s. We went holiday shopping. That was fun because I haven’t shopped with my mom in years. We visited my Aunt’s that were in town and celebrated my Auntie Tessie birthday with her. It was nice because I haven’t seen her and the family in a few years. We went to a Purple Rain show at South Point Casino. I grew up listening to Prince so I knew a lot of the songs. It was actually a great show for only $5. Not only did they play songs from Prince but the base player played some oldies (songs everyone would know) and so did the keyboardist. The show lasted more than two hours (closer to three). I would recommend this show if you have visitors in town or if you are visiting even if you aren’t a Prince fan. It was good! My mom, grandma and I played bingo at the Cannery. That was pretty fun too! I haven’t played since Okinawa. My mom won once! We also played slots that same night. I played penny slots for fun. I am not a gambler. We took the kids to a movie to see Bedtime Stories. We also drove through sunset park to see the lights. But the best thing was just hanging around the house in out PJ’s watching movies, cooking and just relaxing.
